Actress Jennifer Aniston essayed the role of Rachel Greene in the popular sitcom Friends, opposite David Schwimmer as Ross who essayed her love interest on the show. Often touted as a meant-to-be-together couple, fans have been rooting for Ross and Rachel since and David-Jennifer consequently.
As a result, when Jennifer and David revealed on Friends: The Reunion episode that at the time of the first few seasons of the series, they were crushing over each other, fans went gaga. However, they clarified that since they were seeing other people at the time, they never acted on their feelings, but channelled their passion into Ross and Rachel, making their chemistry electrifying on the show.
On Wednesday morning, Aniston along with her Friends costars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow appeared on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show. Putting an end to rumours and gossips, she reiterated her stance that although Davis is a great guy, but since they were seeing different individuals, it would have never worked out as the timing would have been wrong. “Whatever feelings we had, we just literally channelled everything into Ross and Rachel, and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did” she added.
On being repeatedly asked by the host, who refused to believe “Why not bang Schwimmer?", she made it very clear that they always respected the professional boundaries, and never slept with each other. “But no, we never, on my life — and Courteney and Lisa would know if it did because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me,” she said.
When asked about her equation with ex-husband Brad Pitt, she mentioned that they ‘are buddies’, as indicated by their Fast Times table read last year. It was the first time they shared the screen together after 15 years, following their much-publicized divorce. She described the experience as fun, given the level of comfort she shares with Brad.
