Hollywood star Jeremy Renner sustained serious injuries after encountering a weather-related accident while plowing snow. The Hawkeye star was rushed to a hospital following the accident and as per the latest reports, his condition has been described as "critical but stable" with his spokesperson adding that his family is with him during the treatment. Renner is said to be "receiving excellent care".

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporters, the actor's representative said, "We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care."

According to the Deadline, Jeremy Renner was airlifted to the hospital. Renner is said to be the only party involved in the accident and a "major accident investigation team" at the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly looking into the incident.

The two-time Oscar-nominated actor is the owner of a home near Mt.Rose-Ski Tahoe in the U.S.A, a region that experienced a winter storm on New Year's eve which resulted in as many as 35,000 homes across losing power. Renner had recently taken to social media to share a glimpse of the life in the Lake Tahoe winter, revealing a picture of his snow-capped car. "Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke," he wrote.

Known for his work in the Marvel movies as Hawkeye, Jeremy Renner shot to prominence for his role as the bomb disposal expert Sergeant William James in Kathryn Bigelow's 2009 film The Hurt Locker. Having received his first Oscar nomination (in the Best Actor category), Renner would go on to further impress critics and audiences for his performance in Ben Affleck's crime drama The Town. The portrayal fetched his second Oscar nomination (in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category).

Jeremy is set to reprise his role as Mike McClusky in season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown, a crime thriller series created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.
