A new song from Jersey is out, and it's a romantic track titled Maiyya Mainu. The song is picturised on the lead characters, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The video for the track starts with Mrunal's character telling Shahid that she told her parents about their relationship. He, however, doesn't pay heed to whatever she says and concentrates instead on binging on samosas. The track takes a romantic turn and they are both seen lost in each other.

The song also shows how Shahid and Mrunal's characters elope and have a court marriage. They get the approval of the former's coach, played by Pankaj Kapur, who also happens to be Shahid's father.

Sachet-Parampara composed, arranged, and produced the song, which was sung by Sachet Tandon and featured heartfelt lyrics written by Shailender Singh Sodhi, also known as Shellee. The song, which adds to the euphoria surrounding the film's release, has fans waiting with bated breath and counting down the days until the film's release.

In a statement, Aman Gill said that Maiyya Mainu is a song that showcases the deep bonds between our protagonists, Shahid and Mrunal. He praised them by adding that they both did an outstanding job in the film.

Jersey, which is set to hit theatres on December 31, 2021, has fans counting down the days until the New Year for more than one reason. The film is presented by Allu Aravind and directed by National Award winner Gowtam Tinnanuri. It is produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, and Snaga Vamsi. Sachet-Parampara's foot-tapping numbers have fans humming the Jersey tunes.

The film is the Hindi remake of the National Award-winning Telugu film Jersey, which was also directed by Tinnanuri. The original film featured Nani and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles.
