Jersey Twitter review: Shahid Kapoor is 'phenomenal' in this 'bittersweet emotional ride', also starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur

After multiple delays, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur's Hindi remake of Jersey has finally made it to theatres across the country. Shahid plays a cricketer trying to revive his sporting career not just for himself but for his young son. 

After the pre-release screenings, Jersey received a lot of praise from both Shahid and Mrunal's colleagues across the Indian film industry. Nani, the star of the original movie, said that the remake "hit the ball out of the park." However, the real test of any movie lies in the audience's response.

Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri who also helmed the original. The cast also includes Pankaj Kapur, Geetika Mehandru, and Shishir Sharma.
