Jesse Plemons to star opposite Elizabeth Olsen in upcoming HBO Max series Love and Death
Jesse Plemons is reported to join hands with Wanda Vision star Elizabeth Olsen in the HBO MAX limited episode original series, Love and Death.
The upcoming HBO Max series follows the real-life story of a Texas housewife Candy Montgomery who brutally murdered her friend from church (Betty Gore) using an axe in 1980. The Wanda Vision star had been earlier cast to play the lead role of Candy Montgomery while Jesse Plemons is set to join the cast and will be seen playing Gore's Husband, Allan.
The series, produced by Lionsgate is inspired by the book titled Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly (Love & Death In Silicon Prairie, Part I & II). Directed by Homeland‘s Lesli Linka Glatter, the series is created by the Big Little Lies duo of David E. Kelley and Nicole Kidman and Lionsgate Television.
Aside from penning down the script for the upcoming series, Kelly will also executively produce the project through his David E. Kelley Productions, with Nicole Kidman and Per Saari via Blossom Films. While Glatter, Scott Brown and Megan Creydt will produce through Texas Monthly; Matthew Tinker; Michael Klick and Helen Verno. The studio is Lionsgate TV.
