Jewel Thief: Did Saif Ali Khan call it a wrap on the heist thriller for second time? Here's what we know

Jewel Thief is one of Saif Ali Khan's upcoming projects. The actor, backed by Siddharth Anand, had to reshoot some sequences for the film reportedly. Filmmaker Robbie Grewal had called it a wrap on the heist thriller in May this year. Last month, it was reported that producer Siddharth had roped in director Kookie Gulati to revisit some scenes and shoot two songs. The latest development is that Saif's Jewel Thief's shoot has finally been completed.

Director Kookie Gulati reworked some scenes and shot two songs in a three-week schedule. The filmmaker also reimagined an action sequence and shot it with Saif at Mehboob Studios in Bandra.

"Siddharth wanted to enhance the action and tension in a particular scene reflecting the heist. So, late last month, a set was built at the Bandra studio. Saif and another actor, who plays a significant role in the film, shot the sequence. Part of the set-piece was also filmed against the green screen. Saif rehearsed extensively with action director Parvez Shaikh before filming it. Kookie is now supervising the VFX work on it," a source told Mid-Day.

The report further suggests that Saif and Nikita Dutta shot one romantic song in Alibaug. The other track is reported to be a peppy dance number. "It was choreographed by Shazia Samji and Piyush Bhagat, and featured the entire cast," the source added.

Meanwhile, Nikita Dutta recently shared a picture with Saif and the crew of Jewel Thief. It was from the last day of their film's shoot. While sharing the photo on her official X account, Nikita wrote, "Film wraps are always emotional. But this one is hitting differently. See you on the screens (sic)."
