Saif Ali Khan is all set to return to screens on Netflix, but this time not as a cop who has the job of saving the city in Sacred Games, but as a man involved in a robbery. Jewel Thief, a movie directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal and backed by Pathaan fame Siddharth Anand, is one of the most awaited movies on streaming ever since Netflix rolled out the first look of the movie back in February during their Next On Netflix event. The streaming giant has since been making sure that the buzz around the project continues by dropping details about the movie, and now they have taken a step ahead by releasing a new song from the film.
It was teased yesterday that the makers are all set to give fans a surprise today with the release of a song titled Jaadu from the film Jewel Thief. The song, which has now dropped on YouTube, features the key cast — Saif Ali Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta — and is quite a peppy number. Composed by Oaff and Savera, penned by Kumaar, and sung by Raghav Chaitanya, Oaff & Savera, the track is sure to remind us of the many promotional songs we enjoyed in the 2000s for stylised action films like Race, Prince, and more. Before Jewel Thief, here's another edgy Saif Ali Khan movie you must watch with your OTTplay Premium Subscription.
Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film stars Saif Ali Khan as a suave con man locked in a high-stakes battle against Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays a formidable mafia boss. With Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta adding flair to the ensemble, Jewel Thief delivers intense action, razor-sharp suspense, and unexpected twists.
Speaking about the film, Saif Ali Khan shared, "Reuniting with Sid Anand has always felt like coming home — he knows how to blend action, style, and storytelling in a way that's truly special. With Jewel Thief, we've pushed the envelope and had a blast doing it. Sharing the screen with Jaideep Ahlawat, who brings such depth and unpredictability, made the experience even more exciting. I can't wait for audiences to join us on this thrilling ride on Netflix."
Broken News star Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays the relentless mafia boss, added, “A film that is so interesting, challenging, and as exciting as any project or role of mine. It's the experience of getting into a new universe with a bunch of people that are as excited as you to deliver the best. The heist film was something I always wanted to explore, and what better than collaborating with the best co-star and makers like Saif and Siddharth? We had a blast on set — teamwork determines how a film comes to life.”
Set against the breathtaking backdrops of Budapest, Istanbul, and Mumbai, this gripping heist drama is a pulse-pounding game of wits, deception, and action. Get ready for a showdown like never before — streaming only on Netflix from April 25! Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
