Jimmy Character Glimpse: Saanvi Sudeep lends vocals to Sanchith Sanjeev's grand intro

The news of Kiccha Sudeep's nephew Sanchith Sanjeev making his grand acting debut has surely caught the imagination of the general public, particularly the former's many fans. Sanchith, who has previously worked in the direction departments on films like Ambi, Jigathanda (Kannada movie) and Ambi Ning Vayassaytho (co-directed with Gurudatha Ganiga), has taken on the added responsibility of directing himself in his debut, which we learn is titled Jimmy. Although the title has been common knowledge for quite some time now, the makers of the project made it official earlier today, on June 25, with a special character glimpse promo.

The promo, running a little over 2 minutes and 15 seconds, introduces Sanchith Sanjeev as the titular character to the world in a rousing fashion. With blaring electric guitars and an operatic female voice welcoming him into the frame, the actor steps out of a swanky Mustang GT in slow-motion to announce himself in every sense of the word. Exuding badassery, Sanchith Sanjeev then mouths a line with the same baritone that has come to define his uncle Kiccha Sudeep's personality. And turns out that the voice is the highlight of this promo, with fans and well-wishers on social media singing praises for it already.

Another highlight of the video is the song composed by Vasuki Vaibhav which features Sudeep's daughter Saanvi Sudeep's soulful voice. Saanvi, who has often offered a peek into her life as a singer/musician, has utilized the big occasion to showcase her talent - aside from singing the song, she has also written the lyrics of the English song which underlines the vibe of the video.

Kiran Kumar has designed the sets for the Jimmy promo with AJ Shetty of Kabzaa fame handling the cinematography. The latter will hand over the reins to N Amit who is credited as the DOP for the full-length project with art director Shivakumar coming in to take care of the production design.
