Actor Jimmy Sheirgill, National Award-winning director Eeshwar Nivas and 35 other members of the web series Your Honor have been booked by the Ludhiana police for reportedly violating COVID curfew rules.

Confirming the same, news wire agency ANI tweeted, “Punjab: Actor Jimmy Shergill, director Eeshwar Nivas & 35 others have been booked for violating COVID-induced curfew while shooting for a web series in Ludhiana last night.”

As per a report on Hindustan Times, the actor was shooting for the film with 150 crew members at Arya Senior Secondary School in Ludhiana at 8 pm. A court scene from Your Honor was being shot when the Ludhiana police arrived and detained the 37 members from the show.

The Ludhiana government had imposed a curfew from 6 pm to 5 am to curb the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the State. 

The report further stated that Nivas and crew members Akashdeep Singh and Mandeep Singh were arrested and later, granted bail. None of the cast or crew members have issued a statement on the matter so far.

Your Honor is a SonyLiv original web series. The first season of the show released in 2020. Apart from Sheirgill, the show also featured renowned TV actor Varun Badola and Parul Gulati in pivotal roles.
