Reliance Jio has revived its Rs. 499 prepaid plan. This plan also offers one year mobile subscription to Disney+Hotstar. The prepaid plan has been revived after its price was hiked in December.
Jio had changed Rs. 499 plan to Rs. 601 per month plan in December, 2021. In January, 2022, Jio then decided to revive Rs. 499 plan which offers its users one year subscription to the popular OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar.
Users who have subscribed to the Rs. 499 plan get additional benefit in the form of access to Jio Cinema, Jio TV, Jio Security and Jio Cloud. The plan was first announced in August, 2021 and cost Rs. 499 till November, 2021.
Rs. 499 Jio plan offers users 2 gb internet speed limit for 28 days. After the limit crosses, the users get 64kbps speed. The other benefits that come with the plan are - unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSes per day. The users can recharge for the plan using My Jio app if they wish to pay for the services digitally.
Additionally, Disney+Hotstar provides three subscription plans. Its basic plan is of Rs. 899 per year which gives access to two screens at a time. It is not completely ad-free.
The other plans are Rs. 1499 per year or Rs. 299 per month. If a user opts for either of the two plans, they can access content on four screens at a time. These users also get to stream anything on the platform without ads interrupting their viewing experience.
The Jio plan offers the users benefit of the basic plan of Rs. 899, currently. The offer is valid only for prepaid users at the moment.
