Jitendra Kumar has shared a new update on Panchayat season 4. The leading actor of the series told IANS, "The work on season four of Panchayat is underway and the show will hopefully release soon."

Jitendra Kumar plays the leading role of Sachiv Ji in Panchayat. Three seasons of the show are already out and they are all equally well-received. Apart from Jitendra, the series stars Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Durgesh Kumar and Sunita Rajwar in pivotal roles.

People connect most with Panchayat's theme - being rooted to the rural India. Abhishek, who is better known as Sachiv Ji, is an urban man who is transferred to Phulera and has been the Secretary of the Gram Panchayat over the years. Despite his initial challenges, including preparing for competitive exams, Sachiv Ji now feels connected to the people of Phulera, closer to them even.
