Jithender Reddy OTT release date: When, where to watch Virinchi Varma's social drama

ETV Win is rapidly expanding its content library by acquiring the digital rights to low-budget Telugu films. Recently, OTTplay reported that ETV Win secured the rights to the romantic drama Dhoom Dhaam, which is set to stream on March 6, 2025. Now, the platform has bagged yet another film, Jithender Reddy, further strengthening its lineup.

Jithender Reddy, featuring Rajesh Varre in the lead role, is a biographical film based on the life of Jithender Reddy, a Telangana native with deep-rooted RSS values from childhood. Despite its patriotic theme, the film did not perform well at the box office.

However, ETV Win has now acquired the OTT rights for a substantial price and will make the film available for streaming from March 20, 2025. The film was directed by Virinchi Varma, known for his previous successful films. While his direction was appreciated, the emotional depth of the story did not resonate strongly with audiences.

Additionally, critics felt that Rajesh Varre’s performance as the titular character lacked impact. ETV Win, however, remains optimistic about Jithender Reddy's potential on the platform. Given that the film highlights an unsung hero from Telangana who dedicated his life to the welfare of the underprivileged, it is expected to attract viewers who missed it in theaters.

Produced on a modest budget by Muduganti Ravinder Reddy, the film features music by Gopi Sundar. Unfortunately, his background score received criticism for being overly loud, drawing negative feedback from some audiences. It will be interesting to see how Jithender Reddy performs on ETV Win.
