Jithender Reddy: Title, first look of Uyyala Jampala maker Virinchi Varma’s next launched

Writer, director Virinchi Varma made an impressive debut with the surprise hit Uyyala Jampala, starring Raj Tarun and Avika Gor. He went onto score another success with the romantic triangle Majnu, headlined by Nani, Anu Emmanuel and Riya Suman. It has taken the filmmaker over seven years for his next project to go on floors. His upcoming film is a political drama commenced recently.

The first look poster of the film was launched by Deva Katta today. “Looks very exciting and looking forward to see this story!! The poster introduces the protagonist who plays a politician in the film. In the second poster, a group of men and women are keenly listening to the politician while he addresses their problem. Jithender Reddy is bankrolled by politician Muduganti Ravinder Reddy under Muduganti Creation. The drama will largely feature newcomers and promises to be hard-hitting and impactful.

“A big thanks to Devakatta garu for his encouraging response to the first poster of our movie JITHENDER REDDY”, the producer Muduganti Ravinder Reddy, a politician responded to Deva Katta’s social media post. Jithender Reddy is a film inspired by true incidents and is set in Telangana in the 1980s. Popular technician, producer VS Gnanashekar cranks the camera for the project.

Gopi Sundar is the music director and Nagendra Kumar is the art director. Vanisri Podugu and Uma Ravinder are also part of the crew. Virinchi Varma’s Uyyala Jampala and Majnu are streaming on Amazon Prime Video and SunNXT. Will the filmmaker reinvent himself with Jithender Reddy? We’ll know soon.
