Jodi trailer: Of Diljit Dosanjh’s journey with music and love

The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh’s romantic-comedy film Jodi is out now. This clip shows his journey with music and love. Nimrat Khaira plays the female lead in the film.

Jodi trailer sees Diljit’s character go from an aspiring singer to actually being one for the people. He is a musician who plays the sitar and nails it nonetheless.

In the midst of it, he meets Nimrat’s character and decides that he would start a band with her. She is the lead singer in their band. He joins her at times.

However, their love story goes through some tough times. Can they make it or not is the real question which even she asks.

Diljit started shooting for Jodi during COVID-19 pandemic. He started working on the music of the film in August 2019.

The movie was originally supposed to release in 2019. It was scheduled for June 26, 2020 release but was postponed after all businesses were forced shut.

It was further delayed by a year and now, finally, Jodi will release on May 5, 2023. The film is opting for a theatrical release.

Directed by Amberdeep Singh, the movie is produced by Amrinder Gill and Karaj Gill along with Diljit. Apart from Diljit and Nimrat, Drishti Grewal has also been confirmed to be a part of the project.

Reportedly, the director started working on Jodi since 2011. He announced the film in December 2018 and it went on floors in 2019.
