John Abraham was almost a part of Housefull 5. Yes, he could have been back with his ‘Desi Boy’ Akshay Kumar sooner than later. The actor, however, revealed that he was the one to turn down the movie offer. You'll never guess why did John say no to Housefull 5, a film franchise that he was a part of originally.

"I was approached for Housefull 5 but I chose not to do it," the actor confirmed to Zoom. If John would have agreed, this would have been his latest association with Akshay Kumar. They are the duo that viewers have missed watching, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The two have been a part of some comedy films like Garam Masala, Housefull 2, Desi Boyz and Dishoom. For the Varun Dhawan-John Abraham film, Akshay made a cameo appearance and stole the show! It was also the last time when we saw them together, almost a decade back (in 2016).

John Abraham wants Garam Masala 2 with Akshay Kumar instead

Although declining Housefull 5, John left a major hint and this time it was regarding Garam Masala sequel. Yes, the 'Desi Boyz' are likely to reunite for Garam Masala 2 instead. "I would love to do a Garam Masala with Akshay (Kumar). Maybe something situational, dark comedy, or something exciting with him," John shared.

It is a murder mystery based around a cruise.
