In an interview with PTI, John Abraham revealed that he is in talks with Akshay Kumar regarding a potential collaboration. He shared: "I'm exploring the idea of doing something funny. You need to make people laugh and enjoy, not just for the sake of it, but to leave an impact. For instance, Garam Masala was so special—films like that make a difference. He further added,n "Akshay and I are having conversations. It will be a surprise if something materializes. We’re both looking for an opportunity to work together again because we feed off each other's energy. I’m actively looking for an excuse to collaborate with him soon.”

John Abraham Confirms Talks for Rakesh Maria Biopic

Meanwhile, reports suggest that John Abraham is also in discussions to portray former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. Maria was instrumental in solving several high-profile cases, including the 1993 Bombay serial blasts, the 2003 Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar twin blasts, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks investigation.

John confirmed that while talks are ongoing, he has not signed any agreements yet. In his conversation with PTI, he stated: "The Rakesh Maria biopic is still in the discussion stage. I haven’t signed any film yet. Right now, I’m waiting for the release of The Diplomat, and then I have an exciting film, Tehran. Once I officially sign something, I’ll make an announcement.”
