Bollywood actor John Abraham will be in Kochi on December 7 to unveil the first look poster of his debut Malayalam production, Mike. The Satyameva Jayate actor will be the chief guest of the function, held in a hotel in Kochi, that will reveal the first glimpse of the project as well as introduce its cast and crew.
The movie, helmed by debutant Vishnu Sivaprasad, went on floors in the final week of October. John Abraham Entertainments is producing Mike, which has debutant Ranjith Sajeev, Thaneermathan Dinangal and Vaanku fame Anaswara Rajan in the lead.
Apart from the young duo, the movie also has Jinu Joseph, Akshay Radhakrishnan, Sini Abraham and Abhiram in pivotal characters. Mike shows the different phases of its protagonist’s life. Scripted by Aashiq Akbar, the film had Mysore, Kattapana, Vaikom and Dharamsala as its main locations. Aashiq had earlier scripted Anson Paul’s Kala Viplavam Pranayam.
Ranadive is the movie’s cinematographer while Vivek Harshan will serve as the editor of the film. Last year, John Abraham had bagged the remake rights of the Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The movie is currently being remade in Bollywood with Arjun Kapoor and himself essaying the roles of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon, respectively. Jagan Shakti, who had earlier directed Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal, is directing the Bollywood remake that is expected to hit theatres in 2022.
