John Abraham has wrapped up the shooting for Ek Villain Returns. He posted photos of him from the sets along with Disha Patani and the film's director, Mohit Suri.
Sharing the images on Instagram, the actor wrote, "From my debut film to this, Mohit Suri and I have come a long way." For the uninitiated, John's debut Jism (2003) happened to be Mohit's first step towards the direction. Mohit was an assistant director on the project for the first time.

In a statement, John shared that Mohit would just convey a word to him to grasp the moment and scene. While mentioning that he hates night shoots, especially in the rains, John said that he enjoyed working on everything. Already declaring the movie a superhit, he said, "I am so proud of Ek Villain Returns and this I say without even seeing a single frame of it."
On the other hand, Mohit described the experience as a dream come true. He praised the actor's work on sets and him as a person outside of the sets.
Ek Villain Returns is the first collaboration of John and Disha. It is, however, Disha's second project with Mohit after Malang that starred Aditya Roy Kapur alongside her.
Ek Villain, which was also Mohit's directorial, became a super hit film back in 2014. The film starred Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles. They are unlikely to appear in the film's sequel.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kaloor and Tara Sutaria are also a part of Ek Villain Returns. The two actors have also not worked together before the Balaji Telefilms directorial. The movie is slated to release in cinemas on July 8, 2022.
