The fourth instalment in the franchise about a hitman forced back into the criminal underworld, is currently in theatres.
John Wick: Chapter 4, the fourth edition in the Keanu Reeves-led action thriller series, released in theatres on March 24. Directed by Chad Stahelski, who’s made all four films so far, John Wick: Chapter 4 has the title character still on the run from the assassins sent out by the High Table, while also trying to find a way out. Ian McShane, (late) Lance Reddick) and Laurence Fishburne return as recurring characters Winston, Charon and the Bowery King, respectively. Joining the franchise this time around are Donnie Yen as Caine, Bill Skarsgard as Marquis, Scott Adkins as Killa and Shamier Anderson as the tracker, Mr Nobody.
The film is a Lionsgate and PVR Pictures release in India, so it comes as no surprise that the former is also the exclusive digital partner of John Wick: Chapter 4. The film will be available on LionsgatePlay, where the earlier three instalments are also hosted currently. Since Lionsgate Play is also available as an Amazon Prime Video channel, by extension, John Wick will be on the streamer after its theatrical run. The platform has not announced a release date yet, but it is expected only after 30 days from its theatrical outing, especially since the film has opened to fairly positive reactions across the globe.

The John Wick franchise follows its title lead, a former assassin with the most impressive skill sets, who is drawn back into the criminal underworld he’d left behind, as he tries to find a way out, once and for all. Days before the release of the latest edition, Lance Reddick, who played New York Continental Hotel concierge Charon, passed away, aged only 60, of natural causes. The makers have already announced two spin-offs from the movie franchise – a series called The Continental and a film called Ballerina with Ana de Armas in the lead. However, there is no word on whether a fifth John Wick film will be in the offing.
