After a long wait, the first glimpse of John Wick: Chapter 4 is finally here. This time, Keanu Reeves’ John Wick is supported by Ian McShane’s Winston and Laurence Fishburne’s The Bowery King. The two, along with Keanu in action, take the trailer to a whole new level.

While Winston plays John’s guide in this installment, The Bowery King, like the name suggests, is into the business. John finds him in order to get back to the business of killing.

John Wick: Chapter 4 promises something huge. Donnie Yen’s Cane enters the plot and with that, you know that this time, the film is shot mostly in Japan’s Osaka. Donnie is John’s enemy this time around.

The film is also set in Berlin, New York and Paris. One scene shows the Eiffel Tower, claiming there will be action even in the city of love.

Soon, the world is introduced to one from the Skarsgard family. Bill Skarskgard enters the scene as a mafia head, Marquis. He fits into the role perfectly.

Marquis is the man that promises John what he has always desired – to lead a peaceful and free life. However, John has always been bonded by his relations and comes back to shed some more blood.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is almost on the level of the original Die Hard, at least from the trailer. Although this film is its own niche, adding a mobster in Marquis sure takes the stakes higher.

Winston stating “Just have fun out there,” appears to be John Wick’s version of Die Hard’s “Welcome to the party, pal.”

Apart from the visuals, John Wick: Chapter 4 also runs high on its dialogues and promises to be one-of-a-kind masterpiece, probably above all the previous installments.

The movie also stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama and Scott Adkins. It is slated to release in theatres on March 24, 2023.
