Fans of the hit Jolly LLB franchise, rejoice!

Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar is set to make a comeback (he had worked in Jolly LLB 2 as Jagdishwar Mishra) join the third installment of the courtroom drama with franchise OG Arshad Warsi, according to a news report by Pinkvilla. 

Jolly LLB 3, which was first released as a stand-along film in 2013 featuring Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani, will have both Warsi and Akshay reprising their respective roles as they gear up for a big fight in court. 

In 2017, Jolly LLB 2 release that featured Akshay Kumar as the lead alongside Huma Qureshi. Fans have always speculated that the storyline of the third part will revolve around both the actors and a showdown of some sorts will play out. 

A source told Pinkvilla that the film's director Subhash Kapoor, along with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, have been comtemplating the aforementioned potential storyline for LLB 3 and the director might have found a way to make it happen. 

The film is looking at taking a humourous track, and will most likely go with the Jolly vs Jolly concept. As per the report, the film will be a cross-genre project with its production starting in the first half of 2023.

"Subhash (Kapoor) has cracked a subject that warrants a face off between the two Jollys. It’s hilarious with a very relevant topic for debate in the court of law," the source told Pinkvilla. 

"Finishing touches are being given to the script at the moment and the team will then move on to the pre-production stage," the director continued.
