Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar-Arshad Warsi's film crosses 50-crore mark in its first weekend

Since its release on September 19, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB 3 has been performing well at the box office. The movie has received mostly positive feedback from the audience, which has reflected in its gross collection in its first weekend at the ticket window. Although Jolly LLB 3 opened with just Rs 12 crore, the comedy drama picked up pace on Saturday with a major jump of Rs 20 crore, crossing the Rs 50-crore mark over the weekend, as the trade experts had speculated.

The multi-starrer comedy drama again minted Rs 21 crore on the third day, Sunday (September 21), taking the total to Rs 53.50 crore, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. Jolly LLB 3 opened with Rs 12.75 crore on Friday, and the second day collection was Rs 20 crore.

Jolly LLB 3 had an overall Hindi occupancy of 40.36% on Sunday. While the occupancy for morning shows was at 19.41%, the afternoon shows again saw a significant jump to 48.61%, and the evening shows registered 57.40% occupancy. However, the night shows saw a drop with a 36.01% occupancy at the end of the weekend. The courtroom comedy drama is speculated to succeed at the box office with a good collection.

Loosely based on the Bhatta Parsaul land grab case from 2011 which led to farmer deaths, the film focuses on the plight of the poor farmers that seems to have touched a chord with the audiences. While Jolly LLB 3 started well in other regions of India, states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar saw a slow growth.
