Jolly LLB 3 postponed; Kesari: Chapter 2 takes over April release slot; details inside
The release of Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has been postponed from April 10, 2025, to August at Karan Johar’s request.

The highly anticipated Jolly LLB 3, directed by Subhash Kapoor and featuring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, was set to have its theatrical release on April 10, 2025. A new development, however, has moved the release of Jolly LLB 3 from April 10, 2025, to August of this year.
Karan Johar’s request led to the postponement of Jolly LLB 3
Rumour has it that Karan Johar requested that Kumar and the crew postpone Jolly LLB 3. On April 18, 2025, the filmmaker will release the second installment of the Kesari franchise. A source informed Bollywood Hungama that the actor was more than happy to reschedule the release of Jolly LLB 3.
Meanwhile, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has been postponed to the second half of 2025, and according to the report, Kesari 2 is stealing its release date. Dharma Productions' and Kumar's entire schedule is getting flipped. Jolly LLB 3 and Kesari: Chapter 2 release dates will be revealed soon.
The original release date for Kesari Chapter 2 was March 14, the day of Holi.
Dhadak 2 takes the Holi 2025 slot
This led to a discussion about which film would take its place during the Holi 2025 weekend. The entertainment portal received information from sources that Dhadak 2 will debut during the festival.
The source shared that Dharma Productions is producing Dhadak 2, just like Kesari: Chapter 2. They decided not to let go of the coveted slot after postponing the Kumar film; instead, they are bringing Dhadak 2 to Holi. Soon, there will be an official announcement.
Multiple release date shifts for Dhadak 2
The original release date for Dhadak 2—which features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri—was November 22, 2024. The makers moved the postponed date from February 23, which would have coincided with Dimri's birthday, to February 21 instead.
Currently, it is believed that Dhadak 2 will release independently on Holi. The source further stated that it would be ideal to accommodate two mid-sized films at that time. Nevertheless, the festival of Holi coincides with the holy month of Ramadan this year. Salman Khan's massive action flick Sikandar will premiere on Eid, two weeks after Holi. As a result, March will see a decrease in releases.
