Get ready for a hilarious courtroom clash in the third instalment of the Jolly LLB franchise. The two most troublesome lawyers, Jollys, are back in the game and will be facing off against each other in the courtroom. It's going to be a battle of wits as their playful jabs and silly arguments are going to turn the courtroom upside down, all the while the grumpy old judge Tripathi tries (but mostly fails) to keep things in order. Here's everything you need to know about Jolly LLB 3 before the film, directed by Subhash Kapoor, hits the theatres on September 19, 2025.
According to Pinkvilla, the third instalment is also inspired from real events, just like the previous ones, however that's left for the audience to discover. The primary conflict of Jolly LLB 3 is a courtroom clash between Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi as two advocates. Initially, Akshay will be seen at the wrong side of the complex lawsuit, supporting the main antagonist Haribhai Khaitan, who is a minister.
The third instalment focuses on a land dispute case where the powerful Haribhai Khaitan has seized ancestral land from the poor farmers. While Warsi's Jolly Tyagi represents the farmers, Kumar's Jolly Mishra takes the opposite side. Their differing legal and moral approaches are expected to fuel the drama and comedy.
However, speculations suggest that the first half of the upcoming film will witness the two Jollys clash over the case, eventually teaming up to take down the bigger opponent and the antagonist. As the franchise is known for addressing serious social issues with a satirical tone, Jolly LLB 3 is also expected to continue that tradition by focusing on the plight of farmers.
While Akshay Kumar will be seen as advocate Jolly Mishra, actor Arshad Warsi portrays advocate Jolly Tyagi. Meanwhile, Gajraj Rao plays the main antagonist Haribhai Khaitan, and Saurabh Shukla appears as the Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi, Huma Qureshi as Jolly Mishra's wife Pushpa, and Amrita Rao as Jolly Tyagi's wife Sandhya. Annu Kapoor and Boman Irani will also be seen as advocates Pramod Mathur and Tijender Rajpal.
The much-awaited courtroom drama film's advance booking has begin, as just four days left for its release. The pre-sales of Jolly LLB 3 opened in major cities across North India, and the distributors have already listed a handful of shows. This is a surprising move from the makers to open the booking a week before the release date, that too without any announcement! Since there will no big competition on September 19, and Baaghi 4's buzz has also been saturated, makers hope for a success of Jolly LLB 3 in theatres.
The third instalment is unfortunately facing some legal scrutiny, just a week ahead of the release. A petition has been filed in the Gujarat High Court to prevent the film from releasing, claiming that Jolly LLB 3 makes fun of India's judicial system. The petition also claims that the official trailer highlights the judge in a bad light and uses unacceptable words.
The petition not only demanded a ban on Jolly LLB 3, but also sought to know how the CBFC approved the film. The Gujarat High Court demanded an explanation from the CBFC by Tuesday. This legal issue involves the director Subhash Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla. Similar lawsuits have also been filed in courts in Mumbai and Allahabad.
