Jongole Mitin Mashi: Arindal Sil, Koel Mallick, and others start the journey

Arindam Sil is known to helm projects dealing with literary detective characters. After the release of his tryst with Satyajit Ray’s Feluda for Zee5, the director is now gearing up for his next feature film. He is adept at portraying several detective characters on the screen. He previously screened both Byomkesh and Shabor. He has also directed Mitin Mashi. Now he is bringing Mitin Mashi once again on the big screen this Pujo. 

The film, Jongole Mitin Mashi, is based on Suchitra Bhattacharya’s story. The film starring Koel Mallik as the protagonist will be released in Durga Puja. The poster was released already. The shooting will start soon. The Shubho Mahurat was done recently. Arindam Sil shared the news on social media. He wrote, “Mitin Mashi in this Puja, Jongole Mitin Mashi. The film is based on Suchitra's story Saranday Soitan. The shooting will take place in the jungle of Chotanagpur terrain.”

This Durga Puja offers several films for Bengali cinephiles. Dev’s patriotic period drama Bagha Jatin, directed by Arun Roy, is to be released. Roktobeej, produced by Windows Production and directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, will also be released during the festive season. This is the first time Shiboprosad and Nandita will celebrate a Puja release. The film stars Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty. Srijit Mukherji will blend police officials of Baishe Shrabon and Vinci Da for his upcoming cop-universe, Dawsham Awbatar. The film will feature Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu U Sengupta, Subhashree Ganguly, and Anirban Bhattacharya. This will also release in Pujo.
