Jr NTR has finally landed in Bangalore to kick-start the shooting of his new film with Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Tentatively titled Dragon, the film's shoot will kick off with a massive action sequence, as per the news. Prashanth Neel is known to shoot his films at leisure, and Jr NTR has allotted bulk dates for the same.

The makers were looking at Sankranthi 2026 in January as the release date of the film, but as the shoot will not be wrapped up by then, Prashanth and his producers have decided to release the film in summer. We, at OTTplay, have come to know that the makers have locked June 25, 2026, as the release date of Dragon.
The new schedule will go on for three weeks in Mangalore. A massive set has been erected for the same by the makers, and Jr NTR will sport a very lean look in this film. Rukmini Vasanth is playing the female lead, and the news is that yet another popular heroine will be seen as the second lead.
Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts banner are jointly producing the film on a massive scale. Fans of the Temper and Oosaravelli star are super excited about this film, as Jr NTR has teamed up with Prashanth Neel for the first time in his career, and expectations are sky-high. The pre-release business is also huge, as the demand for the OTT rights has hit the roof.
Jr NTR gears up for War 2 release
Jr NTR will also be seen in War 2, which hits the screens on August 14, 2025. Ayan Mukherjee directs the film, which also features the Koi Mil Gaya superstar Hrithik Roshan in the other lead role. War 2 marks the Hindi debut of Jr NTR, and everyone is eager to see what the two superstars are up to with this Yash Raj biggie.
