Jubilee character teaser: Aparshakti Khurana's aspiring actor wants to become a Jubilee star

Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana and Prosenjit Chatterjee starrer Jubilee is the upcoming retro drama series on Prime Video. Last week, the makers dropped the Vikramaditya Motwane-directed show's trailer, while now they released a character teaser of one of the stars.

The latest promo titled Meet Binod Das focuses on Aparshakti's character in the series and introduces him as an opportunist among plenty of things. The clip begins with Prosenjit talking about the protagonist and saying, "Binod Das. The king's loyal soldier." 

Moving on, Aparshakti explains his desire of becoming a famous actor and says, "I don't want to be one take artist. I want to be a jubilee star." Ram Kapoor enters the montage and says, "A monkey wearing a suit will still remain a monkey." Meanwhile, Aditi calls him an opportunist.

 The makers dropped the latest character teaser with a special caption that reads, "Binod Das, the most trusted aide of Roy talkies with aspirations to soar high in the golden world of dreams and stardom #JubileeOnPrime New Series, Apr 7 (sic)."

Meanwhile, Aparshakti shared the latest video on his official Instagram handle as well.

The official synopsis of Jubilee reads, "Set in a newly independent India, Jubilee is a fictional period drama that unveils the stories and dreams that gave birth to Bollywood, as we know it."

Produced by Andolan Films, Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Studios, the forthcoming show is created by Motwane himself along with Soumik Sen. Amit Trivedi has created the soundtrack of Jubilee.

Apart from Aditi, Aparshakti, Ram and Prosenjit, it also features Sidhant Gupta, Wamiqa Gabbi and Nandish Sandhu in key roles.

The first part of Jubilee is set to release on April 7 with five episodes, while the second part will premiere on April 14 with the rest of the five episodes on Prime Video.
