Imagine Varun Dhawan in a comic role. Now imagine Anil Kapoor doing comedy. Yep, Jug Jugg Jeeyo is that kind of a package which blends in their style of comedy together. This time, the movie has comedy in relationship tragedy or at least that’s what the trailer of this film suggests.

The recently released trailer sees Kukoo (Varun) and Naina (Kiara Advani) being sure that they want to end what appeared to be a beautiful wedding and get a divorce. What they do not know or expect is the tragic turn of events which turn into comedy.

Bheem (Anil Kapoor) is in love. He is also tired of his own wedding to Geeta (Neetu Kapoor). However, he hasn’t found a way to express his feelings to her yet.

Thus, this story takes the twists and turns that this big family barely saw coming. If on one hand, there is the bond between the father and his son, on the other hand, there is Geeta trying to save all relationships around her, unaware that hers is broken too.

The trailer promises some noteworthy dialogues in the film. Varun’s festival dialogue is one that could have you grinning. While this is one dialogue, there is a cringe dialogue which makes for a worse moment with Meera (Tisca Chopra). This scene is when Kukoo meets Bheem’s lover, Meera, for the first time.

Maniesh Paul as Kukoo’s brother-in-law has a dialogue which is double meaning too. He has a fairly good role in the trailer, which hints that he might play a huge part in the film too.

Elnaaz Nourozi is seen in a dance sequence in the film but that is all about it. The actress only has a cameo in the movie.

Prajakta Koli, who plays Bheem and Geeta’s daughter and Kukoo’s sister, is seen in a blink-and-miss appearance in the trailer. She is seen ready for a special occasion but getting emotional nonetheless.

The Raj Mehta directorial had commenced shooting during COVID-19, back in November 2020. The movie is now ready for release in theatres on June 24. Jug Jugg Jeeyo’s OTT release is yet to be confirmed.
