JugJugg Jeeyo box office collection day 1: Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani’s film off to a decent start

JugJugg Jeeyo starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor was a highly-anticipated Hindi release. With the star cast and genre attracting fans, the movie has now taken a decent start at the box office. 

As report by Box Office India, the family entertainer has approximately minted Rs 8.50 crore on its opening day. The movie had a strong start in the Delhi NCR belt and other metros, while the numbers in the mass pockets are not up to the mark. According to production figures, Jugjugg Jeeyo has minted Rs. 9.28 crore on its first Friday. 

While the movie’s opening day numbers are decent, it does not beat the numbers put up by Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj (Rs 10.70 crore) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi (Rs 10.5 crore). . 

Directed by Raj Mehta, the movie revolves around a family where the son has plans to end his relationship with his wife, but is shocked to learn that his father is also contemplating the same. JugJugg Jeeyo has received good reviews following its release on Friday. 

“After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, JugJugg Jeeyo is yet another refreshing family entertainer that hopefully pulls the crowd as it did for the former film. With star performances by all the four lead actors, the film doesn't give much scope for boring moments and is a whole-hearted entertainment, hands down.” read the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

JugJugg Jeeyo, which marks Neetu Kapoor’s return to the big screen, also features Manish Paul and Prajakta Koli. Backed by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, the movie will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video following its theatrical release
