JugJugg Jeeyo box office collection Day 7: Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani's movie goes past Rs. 50 crore

Jugjugg Jeeyo, starring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, was expected to be a family entertainer that could get fans back to theatres once again. With the movie having already crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark in a week's time, it is safe to say that fans have taken to theatres to watch the movie in large numbers.

According to a report by Box Office India, the movie’s total collection in the country is expected to be around 51 crore nett mark. Other reports also suggest that the movie has minted Rs. 61.5 crore at the domestic market. Reports also suggest that the overseas gross of the movie is Rs 24 crore ($3 million), taking the worldwide collection of the movie after seven days to around Rs. 80-85 crore. 

Delhi NCR and East Punjab areas have reportedly done good business even on the week days, including Mumbai city. Having crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark in the first week, the movie could also cross the Rs. 100 crore mark in two weeks. As it heads towards its second weekend, the makers will expect the movie to hold its ground. 

Also featuring Maniesh Paul, Prajakta Koli, Tisca Chopra and Varun Sood in important roles, the family entertainer is directed by Raj Mehta. Revolving around a family coming together once again for a wedding, the movie deals with the subject of divorce. 

“The main issue is also with the background score, which adds a humorous punch to the serious sequences, giving the audience the impression that they are watching a comic scene with heavy and emotional dialogue,” reads a part of the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Having received mixed to positive reviews following its release, the movie is now available in theatres near you.
