Jugjugg Jeeyo box office collection day 8: Varun Dhawan. Anil Kapoor’s movie has a short drop on its second Friday

Jugjugg Jeeyo can now be called a certified winner at the box office, having already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in its first week. Starring Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor, the movie has now had a decent second Friday, which did see a small dip. 

According to the trade figures, the movie has made Rs 3.03 crore on the eight day (Friday), taking the movie’s total collection in the country to Rs 56.69 crore. The official Instagram handle of Dharma Productions shared a photo earlier today, which revealed the numbers. 

According to Box Office India, the eight day collection of Jugjugg Jeeyo only saw a small drop, which now has presented a good platform for the movie to make the best out of its second weekend. Delhi NCR, East Punjab and Mumbai city are th centres earning big money for the movie, with the latter affected by rainfall.

Reports also suggest that the family entertainer has already minted Rs 85 crore at the worldwide box office. If the movie can keep up the momentum, it is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark soon. 

Directed by Raj Mehta, the movie also features Maniesh Paul, Prajakta Koli, Tisca Chopra and Varun Sood in important roles. The movie revolves around a family who meet once again in the backdrop of a wedding. The movie has received mixed to positive reviews following its release. 

“With star performances by all the four lead actors, the film doesn't give much scope for boring moments and is a whole-hearted entertainment, hands down,” reads a part of the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, Jugjugg Jeeyo is now available in theatres around the country. Amazon Prime Video have acquired the digital streaming rights of the family dramedy.
