The buzz and curiosity surrounding debuting actors in the Hindi film circuit are always interesting. When these newcomers belong to legacy film families, the excitement to see what they offer beyond their predecessors is even higher. Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is right now in that exact pool as he juggles not one or two but three films. The most recent headline-maker is his third film, in which he stars alongside Khushi Kapoor, who is also working on her third film with Khan. The movie, a remake of Love Today, has been the talk of the town for a while now, and it turns out that it is an exciting affair for the makers too. While we wait for confirmed details, we may have stumbled upon the Hindi title of the movie.

Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor Starrer's Title Revealed

As per reports, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor have been preparing for the Love Today remake for a while now. The duo, who form a fresh pairing, have been cast opposite each other in this romantic drama. The two started shooting for the film on May 27, with Laal Singh Chaddha director Advait Chandan at the helm. It appears the Hindi title of the remake is quite unique and campy, setting the tone right for the film.

Love Today is a Tamil film that released in 2022, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana in the lead roles. They will be replaced by Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the Hindi remake, now titled Loveyapa. Yes, you heard that right. The Advait Chandan directorial is now titled Loveyapa, which is indeed an interesting title. Srishti Behl and Kalpathi S. Aghoram are producing it under their banners, Phantom Studios, and AGS Entertainment, while Rajesh Nate is on board as the cinematographer.

The news came to light after Peeping Moon got their hands on an image of the clapperboard from the sets that had all the details written on it. Loveyapa, starring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, went on floors in Mira Road in Mumbai on May 27. The team plans to shoot for two more weeks on the outdoor setup to finish filming the outdoor scenes before Mumbai welcomes the monsoon. It is said that Aamir Khan is closely looking into everything about the film to ensure a nuanced product.

The movie is about a couple who swap their phones for a day, leading to chaos. It explores the dynamics between the two, revealing secrets and emphasising the importance of trust in a relationship. This is Junaid Khan’s third film, as he is about to debut with Maharaja on Netflix. He has also been working on Ek Din, a remake of the Thai film One Day, which stars Sai Pallavi opposite him. Meanwhile, for Khushi Kapoor, who made her debut with Archies, she also has Naadaniyaan with Ibrahim Ali Khan in her kitty.

There is no release date attached to Loveyapa yet. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else in the world of streaming and films.
