Junior box office collection day 2: Kireeti Reddy's film shows growth in occupancy, makes Rs 3.5 crore
Junior has performed better than numbers on day 2, as the word of mouth in Telugu states is good. The presence of noted stars has helped the film big time.

Junior marks the Telugu debut of mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy‘s son, Keerthi Reddy. This big-budget film was also special as it marked the comeback of Genelia Deshmukh to Telugu cinema after a long gap of 13 years. Junior hit screens on July 18, 2025, to a decent buzz in Telugu states, as the hero promoted the film extensively.
Junior day 2 collections
The openings of Junior were decent. Compared to Kannada, on day one, Junior collected ₹1.5 crores worldwide, in Telugu alone. But in Kannada, the film managed only ₹20 lakhs in Kannada. However, with positive word of mouth regarding the debutant and the presence of noted stars, day two collections improved, with Junior making ₹1.7 crore net worldwide on day 2.
With this, the total collections have touched ₹3.5 crore net, benefiting from strong Sunday occupancy. The biggest advantage for the film is the absence of any major Telugu release this week, giving Junior a free run. Additionally, Sreeleela, a very popular name in Telugu cinema, adds to the film's draw, with audiences flocking to theatres to see these big stars on screen.
While the story of Junior is quite routine, everyone is impressed with the young debutant. Keerthi Reddy has made a strong impression with his dances and fights. A well-trained actor, his hard work shows on screen. Keerthi even sustained injuries during the shoot but made a strong comeback to complete the film.
Kannada star V. Ravichandran also played a key role in this film, which had music by DSP, who delivered some superhit songs. One particular number, Viral Viyyari, has gone viral, and variations of it are expected to trend in the days to come.
Kireeti plays rich tribute to Jr NTR
Directed by Radhakrishna and produced by Sai Korrapati, the film also received decent hype after Rajamouli praised both the debut and Genelia’s return. In all his interviews, Keerthi Reddy revealed he is an ardent fan of Jr. NTR, and in one of the songs, he paid tribute to the star hero, which created further buzz on social media.
