Junior Monalisa: First song from Rishab Shetty’s Harikathe Alla Girikathe to drop on May 19

The first song from actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty’s Harikathe Alla Girikathe is coming out on Thursday. The team revealed this with a teaser video, featuring Rishab, music composer Vasuki Vaibhav and lyricist Trilok Trivikram, wherein they discuss the lyrics the latter is penning for the song, Junior Monalisa. Trilok, who has earlier written songs like Dadda Dadda Dadda and Arere Avala Naguva from Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shaale, responds with a set of hilariously silly lines, which get the lyrics a ‘thrashing’ from Rishab, but are the actual lyrics of the song that will drop on May 19.

Produced by Sandesh Nagaraj’s Sandesh Productions, in association with Rishab’s Rishab Shetty Films, Harikathe Alla Girikathe has been directed by filmmaker duo Karan Ananth and Anirudh Mahesh. The film will release in theatres on June 23.

For Rishab, who was last seen in Raj B Shetty’s Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Harikathe Alla Girikathe will be his next release. The actor-filmmaker has also been working on his next directorial, Kantara, a tale of man vs nature conflict that is being produced by Hombale Films, which will also release this year. His other acting commitments include Jayathirtha’s Bell Bottom 2, which will see him return as Detective Divakar, as well as a film with Rathnan Prapancha maker Rohit Padaki, called Mahaniyare Mahileyare. Rishab is also working on Samarth Kadkol and Sripad Joshi’s comedy Antagoni Shetty, a film that encapsulates events spanning 15 years, between 2004 and 2019. As director, Rishab had announced Rudraprayag earlier, but the focus, we hear will be on another project with Hattrick Hero Shivarajkumar in the lead, which will be bankrolled by Jayanna Combines. Tentatively dubbed #SRK126, this project is expected to go on floors shortly.
