Thaai Kizhavi, the upcoming Tamil film starring Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead role, is slated for theatrical release this Friday, on February 27. The rural comedy drama is backed by actor Sivakarthikeyan and directed by debutant Sivakumar Murugesan. While the positive word of mouth for Thaai Kizhavi is slowly picking up, actors Jyotika and Suriya watched the film at a premiere on Wednesday.

Suriya and Jyotika were among the firsts from the industry to watch upcoming Tamil film Thaai Kizhavi. An utterly delighted Jyotika shared her review of the film on social media on Thursday. Inher long Instagram post, Jyotika said it was a delight to witness the ‘essence and strength of womanhood showcased so beautifully’. She also added that the film was not just heartwarming and feel good but also progressive.
Appreciating the director, Sivakumar Murugesan, Jyotika had some kind words to share, before asking him if it was indeed his first film. “What an important message you have conveyed for our society ! And with such dignified humour and ease. Felt so proud as a woman watching your story. Your thought process truly reflects your character.”
Talking about Sivakarthikeyan as producer, Jyotika appreciated and thanked him for giving a pedestal for a ‘powerhouse talent’ like Radika a stage she deserves. “Thank you on behalf of the entire actress fraternity for making a film on a woman and her pure talent despite the age barrier. Thank you for backing such an important film for women with your star power.”
Coming to Radika who plays the titular role in the film, Jyotika expressed her amazement and inspiration she draws from the senior actor. Calling the film not just a powerful and intelligent film, but also cute, Jyotika said, “She is a reflection of the off screen Radhika we all know. You stole our hearts with your body language, style, innocence, your voice changeover, your laughter, dialogue delivery and your small gestures in the performance which sets you apart as an actor!
