Jyotika has wrapped up the shoot for her portions in Rajkummar Rao's Sri. The actress, today, dropped a picture with the team and called it one of the best crews she has worked with. She also revealed that she was a fan of Rajkummar Rao and that she learnt a lot from him. Taking to her social media page, Jyotika wrote, " Wrapped up my portions for “SRI”with a heavy heart .One of the best crews I have ever worked with …Thank u Tushaar n Nidhi for all the respect and making me part of this meaningful cinema.Huge fan of yours Raj. It’s an honour for me to share screen space with one of the most brilliant actors in Bollywood… learnt so much from you.What I’m taking back from this team as an actor is….. GROWTH (sic)."
Sri is a biopic on Srikant Bolla, a visually impaired industrialist and the co-founder of Bollant Industries. The film, which is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar of T- Series and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani of Chalk and Cheese Films, is being directed by Tushar Hiranandani, who had directed Saand Ki Aankh. The film also features Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar. The film marks the comeback of Jyotika in Hindi after her debut with the Priyadarshan film, Doli Sajake Rakhna (1998). The film, which featured Akshaye Khanna in the lead, was a remake of the Malayalam film Aniyathipraavu, which was also remade in Tamil as Kadhalukku Mariyadhai.
Jyotika is also part of the Malayalam film, Kaathal -The Core, which is helmed by Jeo Baby. The film marks her reunion with her Seetha Kalyanam star Mammootty. Kaathal also stars Lalu Alex, Muthumani and Chinnu Chandni in pivotal roles. The film was announced on Jyotika’s birthday last year, and her husband, actor Suriya had wished the team the very best.
