K-Ramp actor Kiran Abbavaram told ‘no screens for other heroes’ for Tamil release; adds 'Pradeep Ranganathan is getting theatres in Telugu'

Kiran Abbavaram, the young Telugu actor, is anticipating the release of his film K-Ramp. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 18. In the recent, Kiram expressed his disappointment on how his films are being denied theatres in Tamil Nadu, while his contemporaries in Tamil cinema, get theatres in Telugu market.

Last seen in Ka, Kiran Abbavaram is scheduled to appear in K-Ramp, a Diwali release. In a recent interview with Galatta Plus, Kiran Abbavaram expressed his dejection on not getting theatres in Tamil Nadu, while his Tamil contemporaries are getting space in Telugu theatres. He took comparison with Pradeep Ranganathan, whose film is also coming for Diwali.

"Last time, I tried to release KA in Tamil Nadu but I did not get any screens. I don't know what happened. They openly said that when a festival is there, there are no screens for other heroes. I thought KA was a good film, and I did not get in Telugu as well. I felt very bad. As young hero, I want my films to release in Tamil. Here, we are watching and celebrating all Tamil hero films,” he added.

Kiran Abbavaram also said, "For Ka it did not happen. Telugu people are encouraging other films, but when Telugu heroes are making good content, but it is not rolling there. We have 10 Tamil heroes who have prominent market in Telugu, but it is not vice versa. I want to release K-Ramp in Tamil, like Pradeep Ranganathan getting theatres in Telugu. But I don't get it.”

‘I decided in next three years; I don't want to be in star league'

Kiran talks about how he wants to release three films, and is not chasing after 100-crore club. "I want to take time to promote the film, and give a decent gap. I want to make relatable stuff, and connect with audience."

After delivering Ka which was a success, Kiran’s K-Ramp is gearing up for festive release on October 18. Kiran Abbavaram plays the role of a loud-mouthed youth who joins a college in Kerala and falls for a girl. Directed by Jains Nani, Yukti Tareja plays the female lead. Meanwhile, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude is releasing a day ahead on October 17. Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film also stars Mamitha Baiju, Sarathkumar and others.
