Kaantha: Dulquer Salmaan announces trailer release date with dramatic peek | Watch

Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Kaantha, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, on November 14, 2025. DQ fans have been eagerly waiting for the trailer, and now the Lucky Baskhar star has unveiled a short glimpse to announce that the trailer will be released soon.

Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan, who has a good fan following in Telugu cinema as well, took to his social media on November 3 to give a short glimpse from his upcoming film Kaantha, helmed by Selvamani Selvaraj. The glimpse begins with a man asking what and all is happening, as we get a glimpse of the Modern Studios on a stormy night. We are then introduced to Dulquer Salmaan’s character, a superstar, who proclaims that he will make the film, and asks the others to watch it from the corner. Dramatic scenes play out as a woman points a knife at DQ and a chair is thrown at him even as his arrogant laughter adds to the cinematic atmosphere. The 37-second glimpse ends with the announcement that Kaantha trailer will be out on November 6, 2025.

Apart from Dulquer Salmaan, the film also features Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashri Borse in other key roles. Telugu star Rana Daggubati is also part of the film, which he has also co-produced along with DQ. Director Selvamani Selvaraj has also scripted the film, which has music by Jhanu Chanthar.

Kaantha is Dulquer Salmaan’s big theatrical release after the Telugu film Lucky Baskhar, which was a hit. But DQ was last seen in a cameo appearance in the Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra, which he also produced. Lokah, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, went on to record unprecedented success. DQ was also praised for backing a woman-led project, and for allowing the film to stay in theatres for a longer duration. Even Kaantha release was delayed because of this. Tovino Thomas, who was also seen in a cameo in Lokah, would headline the next chapter of Lokah.
