Kaantha Valentine’s Day special: Bhagyashrii Borse’s poster from Dulquer Salmaan film out

We had earlier reported that actor Dulquer Salmaan will be headlining an upcoming film titled Kaantha. The makers, on Friday, released the first look poster of the film's female lead, for the occasion of Valentine's Day. Bhagyashrii Borse plays the female lead in the film which will be a period drama.

Bhagyashrii Borse’s first look unveiled from Kaantha

Kaantha is an upcoming Tamil film which is headlined by actor Dulquer Salmaan. The film is written and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj who earlier made the docu-series The Hunt for Veerappan. For the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the makers released the first look poster of the film’s female lead, Bhagyashrii Borse. The poster shows Bhagyashrii clad in a saree in the retro style, as she is sitting and glancing over her shoulder. Kaantha will mark the actor’s debut in Tamil.

Apart from playing the lead role, Dulquer is also producing the film along with Rana Daggubati, Prashanth Potluri, and Jon Varghese. Kaantha will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Kaantha story- all you need to know

The Selvamani Selvaraj directorial is a period drama which is set in the 1950s Madras and revolves around the complexities of human relationships and the major societal changes that happened during this period in history. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Kaantha is yet another period drama that Dulquer Salmaan will be starring in. The actor, who found success every time he featured in the genre, has given memorable performances in films like Mahanati, Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar.

Meanwhile, Selvaraj Selvamani last made docu-series The Hunt for Veerappan which is streaming on Netflix. The crime series consists of four parts and centers on the infamous and notorious dacoit and smuggler Veerappan who was considered a terrorist.
