On Tuesday, Prithviraj Sukumaran teased his fans about an announcement to be made by the Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal. Now, the megastars of the Malayalam cinema has done the honours and unveiled the motion poster of Prithviraj's forthcoming film Kaapa - The Ring of Death. The action-packed film features a prologue by the actor-filmmaker while the first look of the leading stars gets unveiled one by one.

Along with Prithviraj, Kaapa also features Manju Warrier, Asif Ali and Anna Ben in the lead roles. Mohanlal shared the motion poster on his Instagram page with a caption stating, "KAAPA Here's the motion poster of 'KAAPA', directed by Venu, starring @therealprithvi, @asifali, @manju.warrier and @benanna_love. This is a venture initiated by FEFKA Writers Union and I wish them all the very best!"

This is the first time, Prithviraj and Manju will be sharing the screen space in full-fledged roles. Earlier, Warrier played the leading role in Prithviraj's directorial debut Lucifer in which he also had an extended cameo. However, they weren't seen together in the same frame.

Kaapa is a gangster-based film set in Thiruvananthapuram and G Indugopan have written the screenplay.

Meanwhile, FEFKA is an association of the Film Employees Federation of Kerala.

Talking about Venu, the cinematographer-turned-director made his directorial debut with Daya (1998) in which Manju played the leading role. His other works as a director include Munnariyippu (2014), Carbon (2018) and a segment in Aanum Pennum (2021) which was released earlier this year.

Prithviraj, on the other hand, has several films in his kitty namely Jana Gana Mana, Bhramam, Theerppu, Kaduva, Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, Bro Daddy, Aadujeevitham among many others.

Whereas Manju also has a lineup of upcoming movies in her filmography such as Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Jack and Jill, Kayattam, Lalitham Sundaram and more.
