Challenging Star Darshan fans were treated to a rather big surprise very recently when it emerged that 'Kaatera', his next big film, would hit the big screens on December 29. The announcement was made on November 29 which meant that the team had exactly a month left for promotions and duly, they have kicked things off with a new single from the soundtrack.

The first single from the 'Kaatera' album is titled Pasandaagavne and the song comes as a fun, vibrant romance number featuring Darshan and the film's female lead Aradhana Ram. V. Harikrishna composes the music of the film and going by how the latest track sounds, one could expect the remainder of the album/soundtrack to feature multiple chartbusters.

The highlight of Pasandaagavne, of course, is Telugu singer Mangli's inimitable voice which elevates the song with its effortlessness and energy. Mangli, as many would remember quite fondly, also featured in the music of Tharun Kishore Sudhir and Darshan's previous film 'Roberrt' (Telugu version), wherein she rendered the super successful Kanne Adhirindhi.

Pasandaagavne also features filmmaker Chethan Kumar's lyrics which perfectly capture the authenticity of the world that 'Kaatera' belongs to. The film, inspired by real-life incidents, is set in the 1970s in rural Karnataka and promises to present the Challenging Star in a never-before-seen avatar.

The new single also offers the first proper glimpse of Aradhana Ram, who makes her grand acting debut with 'Kaatera'. Initially, one sensed a bit of scepticism, as it were, about what she could bring to the table and whether, or not, her pairing with Darshan in the film would work, but the visuals of Pasandaagavne do quash those apprehensions. The young actress seems to have already impressed everyone with her dancing skills in the song.
