Samantha is basking in the praise that she has been receiving for her performance as Khatija in her latest release, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, a romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. The actress, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, took to her social media handle to thank everyone for the outpouring of love on the occasion.
She wrote, "Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and good wishes on my birthday! I am eternally grateful for the encouragement, motivation and positive vibes I get from you all! I love you with all my heart. You have made me so excited to dive into the year that lies ahead (sic)."
The actress also took out some time to interact with her fans today. She said that the love and the reaction she has been receiving for Khatija, was the best birthday gift she could receive. "I wanted to be a part of a film that made people smile 馃槉 Not think .. not over analyse鈥ot dissect .. Just take a break from our day to day issues and laugh a little 馃挄 #Khatija and #KaathuvakulaRenduKaadhal was that for me (sic)."
When fans quizzed about her experience with her co-stars in the film, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, she said that she had waited for a long time to work with Vijay Sethupathi. She wrote, "Waited a long time to work with him .. and it was completely worth it 鈾ワ笍@VijaySethuOffl #KaathuvaakulaRenduKaadhal (sic)." About the other leading lady of the film, Nayanthara, she said that there was no one like her. "#Nayanthara is #Nayanthara馃挄there is no one like her . She added that the film's music composer Anirudh was a genius. She also thanked her makeup team.
