It seems that Aayush Sharma has bid adieu to Salman Khan starrer Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. It was recently reported that Sharma has exited the project due to ‘creative differences’.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sharma had already started shooting for the project and had even finished filming a whole day’s worth of his portions. But creative disagreements arose between Sharma and Salman Khan’s production banner, Salman Khan Films, which is bankrolling the film. Due to these creative differences, Sharma had decided to leave the project.
The report also stated that due to the actor’s exit from the film, there is a chance that the makers would rethink the film’s release date. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali was slated for release in theatres on December 30 this year, but as Sharma will now have to be recast the film might postpone its release. The makers are yet to release an official announcement regarding these developments.
Sharma, who is Khan’s brother in law, had earlier collaborated with the Tiger actor in the 2021 film Antim: The Final Truth, helmed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film is available for streaming on ZEE5.
Earlier, it was reported that Sajid Nadiadwala would bankroll the film. Khan had stepped in to produce the film under his home banner after Nadiadwala too exited the project. The film had gone on floors this month.
Pooja Hegde will star opposite Khan as the film’s female lead. Venkatesh, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav, and Zaheer Iqbaal are also reportedly a part of the project. Farhad Samji will directed the film, which will have music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
