Kabuliwala: Check out the new photos of Mithun Chakraborty, Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar

Last Christmas, Mithun Chakraborty and Dev brought Projapati and swept the viewers off their feet with their entertainers. This Christmas, Mithunda is all set to be back. This time, filmmaker Suman Ghosh is all set to bring the actor in an iconic role, Kabuliwala. 

Penned by Rabindranath Tagore, Kabuliwala’s depiction of the character, Rahmat leaves a mark in your mind. Now, Mithun will play the character. The story delves into the pure friendship that develops between Rahmat and Mini – a young girl. 

In the film, Abir plays the character of Mini’s father and Sohini, Mini’s mother. Child artiste Anumegha will play the character of Mini – the young girl. Scheduled for a Christmas 2023 release, the music of Kabuliwala is composed by Indraadip Das Gupta. To mark the occasion of Children's Day, Jio Studios and SVF unveiled the official poster of the film.

As per sources, Suman Ghosh went for an elaborate shoot. Besides Kolkata, the film was also shot in cold mountain areas in Kargil. Earlier, the group decided to go to Afghanistan for the shoot. However, given the political turmoil, they had to cancel the plan. Considering Mithun’s health condition, the makers finally shot within the country. A source claimed that the outdoor shooting will take place in Kargil. That part has geographical similarities with Afghanistan.
