Kabzaa cameo: Kiccha Sudeep fans urge actor not to work with R Chandru again

Over the last few weeks, Kannada filmmaker R Chandru had been promoting his latest film Kabzaa as a multi-starrer with Upendra, Kiccha Sudeep and Shivarajkumar, even though multiple sources reported that the latter two only had minor cameos in the film. Kiccha Sudeep, for instance, was believed to have screen time of about 17 minutes only, which, Upendra had said in an interview to a Telugu channel, included 3-4 scenes and an action block as well. But when the film released on March 17, Sudeep had all of two scenes spanning, perhaps, 5 minutes at the most, with him narrating the story of Arkeshwara (Upendra) to a bunch of rowdy-sheeters for no particular reason, and in the climax, when he lines up his forces to take on the gangster.

Fans of the Kannada superstar who watched Chandru’s film to see how well the filmmaker utilized the presence of multiple stars in his films were in for a major disappointment and have been relaying it to him on Twitter, where Sudeep is quite active. Earlier today, Sudeep had tweeted a congratulatory message to team Kabzaa, as he’d heard good reports about it. “Hearing good about #Kabzaa...Happy for you @rchandru_movies @nimmaupendra sir.. Congrats Team,” he tweeted.

While everyone loved the actor’s style and swag in the limited role he got in Kabzaa, not everyone was sold on the idea of him returning for Kabzaa 2. The responses to this tweet so far have largely been requests to Sudeep to not be a part of Kabzaa 2.
