The teaser of Kabzaa seems to have put the makers of the film in a bit of a fix. Although the 2-minute-3-seconds-long video did reveal the opulent and cinematic world of R. Chandru's film, the immediate and almost-lethal comparisons with K.G.F has caused a lull, of sorts, in the camp. Many, through their YouTube comments and social media posts, reckoned that the world of Kabzaa is starkly similar to that of the Rocky Bhai saga, lamenting that be it the visual aesthetic or the Ravi Basrur soundtrack, the similarities cannot be ignored. And now, in this vein, reports begin to slowly emerge to suggest that team Kabzaa is in a bit of a dilemma concerning the film's theatrical release.

When the Kabzaa teaser came out on September 17, the film's main lead Upendra shared in a few media interactions that a December 2022 release was in sight for the makers, although one must await official confirmation on the same. And yet, as many as 7 weeks later (as of November 10), one awaits in anticipation and growing fatigue for an update - except the recent announcement which revealed that Kabzaa will release in not 5 but 7 Indian languages (including Marathi and Oriya), the team is yet to discuss the release date.

As some of the latest reports surmise, the K.G.F comparisons could well have deflated the morale of director R. Chandru and Co., causing them to mull over a little more over the theatrical release. With the film made on an incredible budget, one would also expect the team to eye the perfect release slot and leverage the mega 'pan-India' status and prove their might.

Director R. Chandru's Kabzaa is an ambitious period gangster drama that stars Upendra, Shriya Saran, Kiccha Sudeep, Nawab Shah, Kabir Duhan Singh, and many others. KGF 1 and KGF 2 composer Ravi Basrur and art director Shivakumar handle music and production design respectively with AJ Shetty serving as the cinematographer.
