Anand Pandit also added in a recent interaction that Kabzaa's story, the way it has been shot or picturized, the music that accompanies it all, etc., lend the film a universal appeal.

Following the stellar success of KGF: Chapter 2, Hindi audiences have been ardently waiting for another Kannada film of the same category. Moviegoers in the Hindi belts of India have rapidly grown fond of the larger-than-life spectacle of the likes of KGF 2, Baahubali: The Conclusion and RRR and their best bet right now in this regard is the south Indian film industries. And right on cue arrives R. Chandru's Kabzaa which, evidently cut from the same cloth as KGF 2, is now being touted as the next big pan-Indian export.
And as per popular Hindi film producer Anand Pandit, who has come on board Kabzaa as the theatrical distributor of the Hindi version of the film, the response from within Bollywood, too, has been more than just encouraging. In his recent interaction with a media outlet, Anand Pandit spoke about the love that the Hindi film fraternity has been showering on Kabzaa and how the director/producer of the film, R. Chandru, has become a sought-after name.
"We are very confident about this film [Kabzaa] and in today's time, people want larger-than-life films and that is what Chandru sir has made. We went with his conviction and the first time we watched the teaser, we were mind-blown. And when I showed it to my team, some of my celebrities loved it and some of the top celebrities, they said that they want to work Chandru sir now," said Anand Pandit in the interview wherein he was joined by Upendra, Shriya Saran and R. Chandru.
He would add that certain enterprising factors of Kabzaa, such as its story, the way it has been shot or picturized, the music that accompanies it all, etc., lend the film a universal appeal.
Indeed, one hopes and expects that R. Chandru's name joins the same league that boasts bigwigs like S.S. Rajamouli and Prashanth Neel. However, on the contrary, Chandru's limited media interactions (owing to a language barrier) in the Bollywood circles have led many, including a majority of the press, to believe that Anand Pandit is the producer of Kabzaa and not R. Chandru. The latter has not only directed the film but also serves as its producer under the Sri Siddeshwara Enterprises banner.
