Kabzaa: ‘Uppi avare, Kabzaa 2 madbedi’ – Upendra fans ask the Real Star to stay away from R Chandru

Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep is not the only one whose fans have taken umbrage to his role in R Chandru’s Kabzaa and to the film, in general. Turns out, Real Star Upendra, the leading man of Kabzaa, is also currently at the receiving end from well-meaning fans, who think that the actor will be better off if he does not associate with Chandru again and instead pays attention in presenting a good film with his directorial, UI.

Kabzaa, which was marketed as the ‘next big thing from Kannada cinema’ with three stars in it, released in theatres on March 17 and has been widely panned for being a blatant, albeit cheap, copy of KGF. The team, led by Chandru, has been claiming that it is a success, although industry trackers claim otherwise. Box office figures also do not indicate that the film is doing well, but then, Chandru had successfully sold the digital and satellite rights of Kabzaa prior to the release, so his investment was safe even prior to the theatrical outing.

In the last two days, Upendra has been responding with thank you messages to every ‘compliment’ coming his way for Kabzaa, which is not going down well with his fans.
