Kadakan out on OTT: Where to watch the Hakim Shajahan starrer online

Kadakan, the Malayalam action thriller film directed by Sajil Mampad, hit the big screens in March 2024. The movie, which stars Hakim Shajahan in the lead role, was expected to make its OTT release soon after its theatrical run. However, the film, which had an underwhelming run at the theatres, had to wait for over 10 months to finally get its streaming debut. Kadakan recently had its OTT release on the popular streaming platform Sun NXT.

As per the latest updates, Kadakan has finally had its OTT release on the popular streaming platform, Sun NXT. The movie, which stars Hakim Shajahan in the lead role, made its streaming debut in the popular platform, on January 3, 2025. As per the latest updates, the project, diretced by Sajil Mampad, is streaming in the popular platform only in Malayalam language. The OTT viewers can also stream the film on OTT Play Premium.

Kadakan: Plot, cast and crew

For the uninitiated, Kadakan, which is set in the backdrop of Nilambur village of Kerala, revolves around the life of Sulfi, a reckless young man, and his father. A series of unfortunate events lead to the father-son duo’s life turns upside down, and Sulfi is forced to face the sand mafia in the town, and the police force. Hakim Shajahan plays the central character Sulfi in the film, which stars senior actor Harisree Ashokan in the role of his father.

Kadakan is jointly scripted by Bodhi and SK Mampad. Along with Hakim Shajahan and Harisree Ashokan, Kadakan features Sarath Sabha, Fahiz Bin Rifai, Nirmal Palazhi, Jaffar Idukki, Manikandan R Achari, Sinoj Varghese, Sona Olickal, Pradeep Balan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Bibin Perumpilly in the supporting roles. Gopi Sundar composed the songs and the original score, for the project. Jazil Jaleel is the director of photography. Shameer Muhammed handles the editing. The film is produced by Khaleel, under the banner Kadathanadan Cinemas.
