PremiumKadamaiyai Sei: Actor Sivakarthikeyan releases SJ Suryah's first look
Helmed by Venkat Raghavan, the movie will supposedly depict the struggles of a common man against the existing corrupt system

The director-turned-actor SJ Suryah will be seen next in Kadamaiyai Sei, an action-thriller movie directed by Venkat Raghavan. The first look poster of the movie was released today and depicts him in a ferocious avatar. The poster was released by the actor Sivakarthikeyan. The poster shows SJ Suryah unmasking himself as a lion or depicting the 'lion within', hinting at the wild and formidable inside of his character while he may look meek on the outside.
Venkat Raghavan, who helms the project, is known for his directorial debut Muthina Kathirikka, an official remake of Malayalam political satire Vellimoonga starring Biju Menon in the lead role. Although the story and performances were praised, they failed to attract the audience, the way the original did.
SJ Suryah, on the other hand, was last seen in Nenjam Marappathillai, a 2021 horror movie with the theme of sexual assault of domestic help. Regina Cassandra played the lead in the movie, while Suryah played Ramsay, a lust-ridden manipulating businessman. The movie gained fame after its release on Zee5 and SJ Suryah’s performance as the antagonist was highly praised by the audience as well as the critics.
Meanwhile, Bigg Boss Tamil fame Yashika Anand has been roped in to play the female lead in Kadamaiyai Sei. She gained fame as Kaavya in Iruttu Arayil Murattu Koothu, a 2017 Tamil adult horror-comedy in which Gautham Karthik played the lead role.
The movie is produced by TR Ramesh and Zakir Hussain under the banners of Ganesh Entertainment and Nahar Films respectively.
